Formal Extracurricular Activities
CCA’s Junior-Senior Banquet is more formal than Homecoming or the Varsity Sports Award Dinner (both semi-formal).
For formal events, gender appropriate attire is allowed. For boys, dress suits are appropriate, or a tuxedo may be rented for formal occasions. For semi-formal events, boys are required to wear a long sleeve, collared shirt, and tie; a sport coat is appropriate but is not required.
For girls, dresses or other apparel approved by the administration is appropriate (modesty is very significant consideration in selection).
Parental discretion is needed. Keep in mind that the same dress may fit each girl differently.
There Will Be NO ADMITTANCE for the Following Dresses:
- “Slip” dresses (clinging material; styled like a slip)
- Low-cut dresses
- Back more than half uncovered
- Hemline or slit more than two inches higher than the top of the kneecap
- Inappropriately tight dresses
Jewelry/Piercings/Tattoos:
- Boys: Boys are not permitted to wear earrings or metal chains while at school or in attendance at any CCA related event. One modest necklace may be worn. One bracelet may be worn discreetly, as long as it is not a distraction, as determined at the discretion of the administration. No body piercing or tattoos may be visible. Temporary tattoos are not permitted.
- Girls: Earrings of any kind will be limited to two per ear – no gauges are allowed. No heavy mental chains. No body piercings or tattoos may be visible. Nose piercings may only use clear, micro stud type earrings. No hoops or other styles of any type may be worn in the nose. Temporary tattoos are not permitted.
*Violation of these guidelines may result in school detention, suspension, not being allowed admittance to the event, having to don a shawl/wrap/sweater over dress, or having to get any future dresses approved by the administration before the event.
SAFETY AND ATTENDANCE PROTOCOLS:
- Once students enter the banquet venue and check in, they will not be allowed outside the facility until the end of the event. Please make sure you bring in all personal belongings and finish taking all outdoor pictures when you enter the venue.
- Parents must say goodbye to their students at the door. CCA Faculty and Administration are the only adults allowed into the event venue.
- If students would like to change for the after party and are not driving themselves, they may bring in one small bag with a change of clothes to keep in the reception area until the bus arrives.
SEATING ARRANGEMENTS:
Mrs. Lake will be at lunch the week of Sept 21st to do table sign-ups. You must bring your whole table to sign up.
OUTSIDE GUESTS:
Only opposite sex guests are permissible. Obtain paper guest form in the office, obtain all signatures, and submit physically to the office. Administration approval must be obtained before you purchase tickets. NO OUTSIDE GUESTS WILL BE APPROVED AFTER SEPTEMBER 22nd.
